Obituary

Our hearts smile as we remember Alicia "Lisa" Hall, 67, of Owensboro, who entered peacefully into her next adventure on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Born on December 28, 1957, in Owensboro, KY, Lisa was the beloved daughter of the late Georgia Lee Hall and JD Hall. Lisa was a devoted member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church, a passionate Kentucky basketball fan, and the life of any card game she hosted. She found joy in bingo nights and laughter-filled gatherings. More than anything, Lisa was a true friend—a radiant light to all who knew her. Though her passing leaves a deep void, we ask that you remember her not by how life ended, but by the joy, generosity, and love with which she lived. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Carl Lee Douglas; and two brothers, Robert Hall and Larry Hall. Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love through her four children: Drew Hall, Michael Hall, Tiresha Hall (David), and LeKisha Hall. She is also survived by her brothers Jerome Hall (Jamie) of Princeton, IN; David Hall (Holly) of Evansville, IN; Norman Butler of Detroit, MI; and her sister Kim Butler of Detroit, MI. Her loving companion, Michael Leachman, stood faithfully by her side. Lisa was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and she was cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lisa held her family close to her heart. "Family is everything," she often said—and truly, we are because you were. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1213 E 10th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303. Rev. Larry D. Lewis will serve as Eulogist, with Pastor Clarence Tapp officiating. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service. Please share memories and condolences with the family at www.mcfarlandfh.com. Arrangements entrusted to McFarland Funeral Home, Inc. of Owensboro.
