Courtney Eugene Walls, 50, of Owensboro departed this life Friday, July 10, 2015, at home. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as president of the Usher Board. He sang in the men's choir and was a member of the Brotherhood Group. He loved University of Michigan sports. His parents, Terrance Speaks and Ella Louise Walls, preceded him in death, along with two sisters, Shannon Wall and Jahanna "Lynn" Nurse Brown. Courtney leaves to cherish his memories and mourn the loss of his passing, one daughter, Tiffany Walls; four brothers, Kevin "Chipper" Walls, Keylon Shorts, Terrance "Putt" Speaks and Tyrone Browning; one sister, Tanya Carter; one godson, Joleel Carter; one aunt, Annetta Owsley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church. McFarland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
