Donald Leo Moorman, 84, of Owensboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday May 27, 2017. He died of a lengthy illness of Dementia. He was a resident of Wellington Parc in Owensboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucian and Pearl Moorman; six brothers, Duke, Earl, Paul, J.T., Louis and Hugh Moorman; and one sister, Sandra Brown. Donald retired after 30 years of service at Alcoa Aluminum Plant. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Chapel. He loved fishing, hunting, and working on cars. Donald was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn the loss of his passing a loving wife of 46 years, Rita Tinsley Moorman; five sons, Steve (Carolyn), Timothy (Shelly) , Lionel, Kenneth, and Keith; three daughters, Stacy (Scott) Kelly, April and Ondra Moorman; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Joe Moorman and Phillip (Joyce) Moorman; three sister-in-law's, Joanne Kendall, Clara Moorman and Martha Moorman; one brother-in-law, Charles Brown Sr.; two uncles, Thomas (Juanita) Moorman and French (Barbara) Pope Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Chapel with Rev. Edward Bradley Officiant. Visitation will be 8:00 to 10:30 am Wednesday at McFarland Funeral Home.
