Eddie L. Drake, 72, of Owensboro departed this life on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in White Plains, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Blanche Drake; also, one sister, Delora Phipps and one brother, Wilford Drake. He was a veteran of the US Army. He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn the loss of his passing, one son, Lamont Drake; three grandchildren; three brothers, Alford Drake of Madisonville, Kentucky, Wesley Drake of Owensboro, Kentucky and Phillip (Myrle) Drake of Greenville; one sister, Iola Odessa Acton of Owensboro; one uncle, William Drake of Madisonville, Kentucky; two aunts, Rosa Mae Bard of Greenville, KY and Eula Nichols of Hanon, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery.
