In Loving Memory of Eula Virginia Hanley Eula Virginia Hanley, age 78, entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2025, at Twin Rivers Nursing Home in Owensboro, Kentucky. Born on October 17, 1946, to the late Charles W. Hanley Sr. and Mary Martha Hanley, Eula lived a life of service, faith, and quiet strength. From a young age, Eula committed her heart to Christ and became a devoted member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. Her spiritual foundation remained central to her life and the values she held dear. A proud graduate of Owensboro Senior High School, Class of 1964, Eula went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Brescia College in 1969. Her love for learning and passion for education led her to Louisville, Kentucky, where she served for many years as a dedicated teacher. In 1982, she returned to her hometown of Owensboro, where she continued to shape young minds as a substitute teacher, touching countless lives with her gentle guidance and unwavering patience. Eula was preceded in death by her beloved parents and a baby brother. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Charles W. Hanley Jr., Stephen Hanley Sr. (Reva), and Mary Doris Moss, all of Owensboro. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who were blessed by her kindness and quiet wisdom. Eula's life was a testament to the power of grace, humility, and the lasting impact of a teacher's heart. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. A celebration of life for Eula will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Fourth Street Baptist Church, 821 W 4th St, Owensboro, KY 42301 with Pastor Clarence Tapp as Eulogist. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Fourth Street Baptist Church. A committal service and burial will follow the funeral at Rosehill & Elmwood Cemetery, 1300 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303.
