A heartfelt message from his father….
To my son, Jamarious—
I’m sorry for all the moments I missed in your life because of my mistakes. I never imagined I would wake up one day and have to face the reality that I would never see you or hear your voice again. You grew up so fast, and even though part of me loved watching you become your own person, it hurt to see you acting just like I did in my younger days.
You were loved more than words could ever explain, and it breaks me that you had to leave this world at the hands of the very people you trusted and spent time with. I used to call you from jail just to check on you—you were so focused, and even then, I still stayed on you because I wanted the best for you.
I need you to know that I love you, and I will carry your name with me forever. Your siblings love you, too. Watch over your little brother who’s up there with you now. And tell Granny I said hello, and that I love all of you forever.
