James Monroe Ayers, 95, of Hanson, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. James was a farmer and enjoyed farming most of his adult life. He was a Veteran of the US Army. James was born to the late Homer and Hettie Ayers. He was preceded in death by his only sister, Lucille Ayers. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Utica and was committed to the functions of the Church, until his health declined. James leaves to cherish his memories and mourn the loss of his passing a cousin, Audrey Carter, and other family members and a host of friends. Services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 09, 2016 at McFarland Funeral Home. Burial in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
