John Efail Calhoun Sr. 88, of Owensboro, departed this life on Saturday May 9, 2015 at home. John was born to the late William and Jessie Calhoun. He was a member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church. A United States Navy Veteran. John was retired from Malco Theater Inc. He also was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn the loss of his passing, one daughter; Cherlene Calhoun, one son; John E. Calhoun Jr. Services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday at the McFarland Funeral Home. Visitation at noon to 1:00 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery with Military Honors by VFW Post 696 and the Navy. Condolences may be made at www.mcfarlandfh.com
