Laquitta J. Bradford, age 85, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Born on August 21, 1940, in Owensboro, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Everett and Lula Bradford. Petite in stature but mighty in spirit, Laquitta was a cherished presence to all who knew her. She became a sister-like friend to many, radiating warmth and quiet strength. Though chiefly non-verbal, she communicated meaningfully with those close to her, especially with her dear friend Crystol, with whom she shared a special bond and could respond with gentle affirmations. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bradford is preceded in death by a brother James McGhee. She is survived by her siblings Artelia Trice, Everett Bradford, Jr. (Latonya), Omega Robinson (Jackie); cousin Marcella Winstead; and many nieces, nephews, and other cousins. A service to honor Laquitta's life will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at McFarland Funeral Home, 1001 West 5th Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Little Flock Baptist Church graveyard, 8051 Hamilton Ferry Road, Sorgho, KY.
