Leroy A. McCreary Sr. 82, of Owensboro, departed this life on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at home. He was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late Malcolm and Georgia Anna McCreary. He was also preceded in death by one son; Leroy A. McCreary Jr., one brother; Malcolm McCreary Jr. and one sister; Ora Lee Thomas. Leroy was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn the loss of his passing his wife; Betty McCreary, children, grandchildren great-grandchildren, one sister; Dora Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services are at noon Saturday at Fourth Street Baptist Church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm Friday at the church and 10:00 am to noon Saturday at the church.
