Mary Long Jewell 85, of Owensboro departed this life on Wednesday September 07, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Maggie Long; her Husband, James "Papa" Jewell; two sisters, Bessie Calhoun and Frances Long; and one brother, James Long. Mary was a member of Center Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and playing games on her Kindle Tablet. She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn the loss of her passing two daughters, Lourese (Oscar Ray) James, and Evelyn Dean; one son, Oscar Ray Acton; one brother, John H. Long; seven grandchildren, Chris (Jenny) James, of Paducah, KY, Jesse (Carroll) Dean, Scottie Frazier, Tyrone Frazier, Ray Ray Frazier, Andre Green and Erica Frazier all of Owensboro; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday at McFarland Funeral Home. Visitation will start at noon Saturday at the Funeral Home.
