Mary Margaret Riley Gray, 76, of Owensboro, departed this life on Sunday February 18, 2018 at Signature Healthcare, LLC at Hillcrest. She was born on September 2, 1941 to her parents, the late James and Rubenia Riley. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Riley and one sister, Sarah Marie Riley. Mary retired from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after many years of service. She was a member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church where she was proud of being in the 50 year membership club at her church. Mary was a member of the Nurse's Guild and served as a member of the Usher Board until declining health. She was an avid reader of the Bible, loved to cook for family and in her spare time she would crochet. Mary leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memories two sons, Maurice Gray Jr. and Michael Gray; two daughters, Nicola Gray and Pamela Shearer; two grandchildren, Taylor and Trinity Shearer; one brother, James Ricks (Carolyn) Riley; one sister, Emma Jane Johnson; one niece, Jacqueline (William) Mayfield Jones; one nephew, Floyd Darryl (Shelia) Mayfield and great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
