Mary Elizabeth Robinson, 103, of Owensboro departed this life Friday, June 12, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Owensboro, daughter of the late Simon and Amanda Curry. Mary also was preceded in death by four brothers, Christopher, David, Randall and James Curry; one sister, Helen Curry Fox; two sons, James and Charles Robinson; and one daughter, Sandra Faye Davis. She retired as a seamstress after many years of sewing. She was a faithful member of Fourth Street Baptist Church for many years before declining health. Mary leaves to cherish her memories and mourn the loss of her passing, four grandchildren, Velita Frazier, David Robinson, Aja S. Casper and Whitney L. Robbins; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; one son-in law; Howard Davis; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services are noon Saturday at Fourth Street Baptist Church. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. McFarland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
