Megan Raushale Overton Poole, age 48, passed away on April 7, 2026, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky’s Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. A resident of Clarkson, KY in Grayson County, Megan was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

Megan cherished her family above all else. She found joy in spending time with those she loved, creating memories, and offering help to anyone in need. Her generous spirit and willingness to care for others were defining qualities that touched many lives.

Cremation was chosen and entrusted to McFarland Funeral Home in Owensboro, KY. Megan will be laid to rest with her father at New Hope Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky.

Megan is preceded in death by her father, Walter James Overton, and her infant son, Zachariah Matthew Poole.

She is survived by her mother, Hellen J. Overton; two sisters, Sibbie Wilkerson (David) and Sherrie Renee Lazano of Kenton, OH; one brother, Johnathan Overton (Patty); and her four sons, Jerry Hayse Poole III, William Dallis Poole, Isaiah Jacob Poole, and Jeremiah Riley Poole. She is also survived by several grandchildren, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. All survivors reside in Leitchfield, KY except for Sherrie Renee Lazano.

A graveside service to honor Megan’s life will be held later as determined by the family.
