Michael A. Black, Sr., of Owensboro, KY passed away at his home on Thursday January 01, 2015. He was 61 years old. Michael was employed at Swedish Match Leaf and was a former member of The Soul Walkers and Soul Sensations Band. He was also a National Guard Veteran. Preceded in death by his father, Herman Black, Michael is survived and remembered by his mother, Ester Black; his wife, Deborah Black; three sons, Michael (Christie) Johnson, Chalos (Chasity) Shelton, and Michael (Chandra) Black Jr.; two daughters, Makia Black and Kaycee Black; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Black; four sisters, Victoria (Terry) Williams, Cecilia Greenfield, Bertha (Dale) Pounds, and Charlene Watson; Brother-in-law, Donald (Laverne) Shelton; Mother-in-law, Sally Butler; Sister-in-law- Bonnie Shelton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
