Sallye Mae Hayden 92, of Washington D.C. departed this life on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at home. She was born in Owensboro, the 3rd child of seven children to the late D.J. and Grace Hayden. Sallye retired from US Patent Office. She was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church in Washington, DC. She was a former member of Fourth Street Baptist Church in Owensboro. Sallye leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing, one sister; Doris Cozetta Huff of Columbus, Ohio, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services are at 3:00 pm Sunday at McFarland Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home. Burial in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery, Owensboro.
