Terry Lee "Thin Man" Tyler, 63, of Owensboro died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, on Rock Cliff Drive in Hopkinsville. A native of Daviess County, he was born Aug. 10, 1953, the son of the late Roy Tyler Jr. and Ollievet Trice James. He was a concrete finisher for Deron Construction. Survivors include his wife, Valene Durr-Tyler of Hopkinsville; his children, Terrietta Hogg of Killeen, Texas, Angel Tyler and Tervora (Mario) Brasher, both of Hopkinsville, Starlett (Mario) Thomas of Atlanta and Audretta Tyler, Kenisha Durr, Charli Slaton, Terry (Kyle) Smith, Jamar McNary, Roy Tyler IV, Austin (Ashley) Durr and JoRico Durr, all of Owensboro; siblings Roy (Janie) Tyler III, Jerry L. Tyler, Sue (Jerry) Hanley and Pauletta (Norris) Rascoe, all of Hopkinsville, Daris (Geneva) Tyler, Donnie Tyler, Kenneth (Jill) Higgs, all of Owensboro, Annetta Tyler, Jonita McNeely, Virginia (Malcom) Glover and Latasha (Kerry) Gant, all of Indianapolis, and Viola (James) Guynn of Columbus, Georgia; and 27 grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Street Baptist Church with the Rev. C.E. Timberlake officiating. Burial will be at Cave Spring Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Repast will be at the Old Booker T. Annex in Hopkinsville.
