Thelma Juanita Moorman, 91, was born in Sebree, Kentucky, November 16, 1925 to David E. Pruitt and Maybell Orton Pruitt. She departed this life on Thursday July 20, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky and all her Doctors. She moved to Owensboro, Kentucky in 1934 and joined Saint Paul A.M.E. Church at an early age. She was a former Steward, a stewardess and a member of the M.L. Owsley Missionary Society. She attended and graduated from Western High School. She was united in matrimony to Thomas Moorman Jr. on July 17, 1943. This union was blessed with five daughters and two sons. She was preceded in death by her parents; David and Maybell Pruitt; a daughter, Mae Lavern Moorman; a brother, David A Pruitt Jr.; two sisters, Mary Jane Pruitt Willis and Armettia Pruitt Rowe; two grandchildren, Larry Williams and Jorja H. Payton. She leaves to complete their journey her husband; Thomas Moorman of 74 years, four daughters; Norma (Walter) M. Minion of Indianapolis, IN, Carolyn M. Robinson, Benita Moorman (Dudley) Miller both of Owensboro, KY, and Jacqueline Moorman (Anthony) Dickerson of Louisville, KY; two sons, Thomas (Deborah) Moorman III of Owensboro, KY and Larry E. (Cathy) Moorman of Lompoc, CA; 18 grandchildren and a host of great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Magelene Leachman of Owensboro, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
